THEMATIC AREAS OF WORK

Censat Agua Viva is made up of a General Assembly, a Board of Directors, a General Coordination and two major teams: thematic/mission and administrative. In addition, by The organization has, of course, a Statutory Auditor.

Within the thematic/missional team are located the areas from which we materialize our political work, as well as technical teams that support the work transversally, which are currently Communications, Advocacy and Training and Pedagogy.. The There are four thematic areas: Water, Common Good, Mining Conflicts, Energy and Climate Justice, and Forests and Biodiversity.

Water, Common Good

We are working to consolidate proposals for territorial and alternative autonomies in which the defense of the environment and the environment are water as a common good is an articulating axis. We contribute to the strengthening of processes protection of rivers, moorlands and other water territories.

Mining Conflicts

We support and accompany communities in the defense of their territories in the face of the expansion of the extractivist mining frontier and false transitions. We contribute to strengthening democracy and territorial autonomy, and we promote strategies to stop corporate impunity in the case of large-scale mining projects, promoting environmental justice and comprehensive reparations for affected territories and peoples.

Energy and Climate Justice

We accompany and support social organizations to implement and consolidate community energy alternatives that promote autonomy, respect territorial life plans and contribute to socio-economic transitions.environmental. We seek to promote proposals of policies that generate effective actions in the face of the climate crisis, promoting and respecting the principles of community energies from a perspective of a just energy transition.

Forests and Biodiversity

From a critical point of view, we seek to position, before different social and population sectors, the problems and risks related to false solutions, deforestation, the green economy, as well as as well as the public policies associated with these issues. We encourage the implementation of solutions The main objective of the project is to provide real and legitimate solutions to the climate and environmental crisis within the framework of the Community Management of Forests and Territories.

TRANSMEDIA EXPERIENCES

In addition to our areas of work, we have delved into particular aspects of various environmental problems in Colombia and around the world, in order to broaden social understanding and make visible the voices of communities and organizations that face them, which propose alternative and that survive in the territories. For this purpose, we have created campaigns, research and multimedia content that you can learn about through our transmedia experiences.
